There are certain moments in the golf equipment world when a release feels less like a product announcement and more like a statement of philosophy. The new Toulon Golf Blackout Series is exactly that. Toulon has always occupied a unique space in the putter landscape. They build putters for golfers who care deeply about shape, sound, feel, and craftsmanship. They speak softly while letting their work do the talking. The Blackout Series carries that identity forward with a quiet intensity.
This line is not loud or flashy. It does not try to reinvent the wheel with dramatic geometry or wild color palettes. Instead, Toulon chose restraint as the guiding design principle. Founder Sean Toulon described the Blackout Series as “about restraint,” explaining that every line, curve, and surface was examined until the putters expressed a sense of purpose and clarity. The result is a collection built on precision, weighting excellence, and visual confidence, wrapped in a deep black finish that makes every model look locked in and ready to roll.
Aesthetic Simplicity with Technical Intent

The first thing you notice is the finish. Toulon calls it Black Ice, a matte black visual that removes distractions and pulls your eyes directly to the topline. This is a series built for golfers who want a clean, uninterrupted view at address. There are no competing tones and no visual noise. The all black package extends through the head, shaft, and grip, and gives each model a cohesive look that feels like a modern tool rather than a piece of equipment trying too hard to stand out.
But the Blackout Series is not simply a cosmetic project. Each putter uses Toulon’s known design principles:
- Balanced geometry
- Weight placement that promotes stability
- Alignment that flows naturally into the stroke
- Milled faces that produce consistent performance

The Blackout models also continue Toulon’s approach of pairing shapes with hosel styles that support specific stroke types. Whether you want moderate arc, strong arc, or straight back straight through, there is a matching design here that keeps your putting motion simple and repeatable.
The Toulon Golf Blackout Series Lineup
Austin H1

A refined blade that embraces minimalism without sacrificing precision. The Austin H1 has a compact profile and softly squared shoulders, giving it a modern but familiar look. With its milled construction and controlled toe flow, it caters to players who prefer a traditional blade feel with a grounded look behind the ball.
Las Vegas H1

The Las Vegas has always been one of Toulon’s most stable mid mallets. In the Blackout Series it gains a heightened sense of balance and alignment clarity. The geometry frames the ball intuitively and the mass distribution keeps the face square through the stroke. Golfers who want a modern shape that still feels precise will find a lot to love here.
Alcatraz H4.5

The original Alcatraz was known for its bold structure and incredible stability. The Blackout version sharpens the lines while offering the model in a short slant neck for the first time. That combination introduces increased rotation and flow, giving golfers a chance to pair a high stability shape with a more dynamic arc. It is a powerful combination that feels natural and confident through impact.
Carlsbad H4.5

The two ball alignment system is one of the most trusted visual aids in putting. Now it gets the full stealth treatment. The Carlsbad H4.5 blends the alignment advantage of the two ball system with the Black Ice finish and a short slant neck option for golfers who prefer more face rotation. The contrast of the two alignment discs against the black background creates a simple and immediate aiming cue.
Carlsbad Double Bend (Left Handed)

The Blackout Series also includes a left handed version of the Carlsbad with a double bend shaft. This is a face balanced design built for a straight back straight through stroke. Toulon continues to support left handed golfers with offerings that match their top selling right handed shapes.

On Course Identity
The Blackout Series is built for golfers who want a putter that feels like an extension of their hands. The clean topline and cohesive color treatment make it remarkably easy to aim. The weighting feels deliberate. The sound and feel remain true to the Toulon identity with a crisp, controlled strike that communicates feedback without being harsh.

Every putter in this line carries a sense of discipline. Nothing feels accidental. Nothing feels ornamental. These putters look like they belong in a competitive golfer’s bag, but they will appeal just as strongly to anyone who wants a refined, confident presence on the greens.

Thanks @hawk for the rundown
Toulon knows how to pull on the putter ho strings! lol. That Alcatraz looks so good.
They look good!
These look extremely good. That Las Vegas H1 is calling my name. Just look at that milling.
Love these – wish they came in an Atlanta though…
These look great. Would like to get my eyes on these and in hand.
Very ??? …. they look soooo clean.
The black is so good. I’ve always been a sucker for blacked out putters from a design standpoint.
The murdered out putters look good. Toulon always puts out a great product.
I should do something impulsive as these look fantastic
Man Toulon putters just always look so good and these are no exception. Very nice.
If Johnny Cash was a putter…
Friggin nice.
The Toulon putters always look fantastic!
Beautiful – love the all black on putters
“A quiet intensity”
Hell yeah.
Do love a “murdered out” club
Looking at these again, these are so freaking sharp. Absolutely love the “black ice” finish.
Who doesn’t love a murdered out look? While I still lean their standard models with the gray and hints of blue these look really good. The Las Vegas with the H1 would be money
Man those look really good- so damn good. Well done @Hawk thank you.
I like it! Blacked out club heads is something I haven’t had until recently but it’s a great touch.

Yep…and I absolutely love the basic / smooth finish of the sole on the Austin. Damnit, I really don’t need a putter…
I like the simplicity of the color scheme. I kind of wish they had included the Hollywood, as I’m curious how the alignment dot would have translated in the murdered out scheme
That Carlsbad looks absolutely amazing!!!
Vegas for me in this line, just want a hint of alignment still with the shape
Hmm. I dig them.
I prefer the non blackout versions, but these are pretty slick.
That’s a great look. That Carlsbad is one I’d love to get my hands on.
Okay these are sick! The Alcatraz and the Carlsbad are home runs for me! Definitely gonna have to roll these REAL SOON!
I really like how simple they have kept these…even the under carriages of them are very clean
Very nice. Sometimes simple and unordained is a great method for success.
man do these look good. I can’t even pick out a favorite because I don’t want to upset some of the others
These all look great.
I’m not sure I would go for one of these with how well the colors of the regular Toulon look, but for those that prefer an all black flatstick, these look hard to beat.
Glad the Las Vegas has a neck that doesn’t fit me – I don’t need another black Las Vegas. ?

Best looking 2 ball version I’ve seen honestly.
I love Toulon, I’m not super feeling the blackout here though. It’s just a smidge too muted for my liking.
Nice write up @Hawk! That Alcatraz looks killer. I should breakout my Las Vegas once in a while and use it lol.
These look so sick. I really want an Austin right now for some reason.
So freaking well done. Absolute master at work.
look good but man i dont putt well with dark putters.
These look so good. Love the look of the all black milling. I honestly prefer a bit more of a color pop on my putters but these are really well done. It does allow you to really appreciate the craftsmanship and milling.
That Las Vegas is NOICE.
I want one of each! ? Honestly not in love with the covers but no biggie.
This Alcatraz ??
wow that vegas is fire! I’m pretty happy with my scotty phantom 7 but this just seems to be calling my name
They look great!
Not what a putter addict needs to see, but thanks @Hawk for sharing.
They look truly incredible, Darth Vader esque for sure!
Just ordered the Las Vegas blackout… while sitting in Las Vegas. Clearly it’s fate and there are larger forces at play here.
I’ll post some pics when it arrives.
