Cobra Golf does Limited Edition clubheads better than most. Releases like the Palm Tree Crew, Season Opener, Arnold Palmer and the latest Volition limited edition always turn heads. However, nothing is different about them in any way performance wise compared to the standard DS-ADAPT release other than some graphical differences, a custom shaft and custom headcover. Today, we are here to talk about yet another limited edition clubhead from Cobra Golf, but this one is actually a bit different. This one is all about speed and the long ball.
Speaking of the long ball, not many do it better than World Long Drive Champion Kyle Berkshire. Today, Cobra Golf introduces another Limited Edition DS-ADAPT LS but this time in the form of a Long Drive club head. Developed alongside Kyle himself, this version of the DS-ADAPT LS appears similar to the standard LS model but with some technical changes that are designed for only the fastest swingers.
“Golfers really gravitate towards the LS (Low Spin) driver in the DS-ADAPT family for its speed and trajectory control capabilities,” said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections, COBRA Golf. “But for faster golfers, the DS-ADAPT LS Long Drive clubhead truly fits the build. This 6.0-degree limited-edition option is designed with Kyle Berkshire’s competition performance needs in mind.”

The Long Drive clubhead comes in at the same 445cc as the standard LS model, but features a slightly shorter profile from front to back, a slightly deeper face, and 6° of loft making it the most aerodynamic shape in the DS-ADAPT family. All of this is done to create a little more flex in the face and to push the CG a bit more forward to create maximum ball speed, all while giving those with faster swings the confidence to do so freely without losing control.

It wouldn’t be a DS-ADAPT driver without the new FF33 hosel adapter, which is a big part of the story year. In this case, Cobra decided one wasn’t enough, so they are giving you multiple adapters with the purchase of this club head to allow you try a couple shafts of your choosing.
The Details – Cobra Long Drive
You won’t find any different graphics or a custom shaft, the new DS-ADAPT LS Long Drive head is sold as a club head only. However, you do get a head cover and wrench as well as two FF33 adapters. It is priced at $649 and is available today at www.cobragolf.com

Obviously not for me but I enjoyed reading about the new limited edition long drive clubhead.
This is really cool, especially giving you multiple adapters with the purchase!
Definitely not the category of golfer this release is geared towards with my massive 85 mph swing, but love that Cobra does all these extra releases including the Long Drive release. Also like that this is just the head, feel like this is appropriate for this one.
Another not for me but an interesting read. I think it’s cool how far tech can go.
Very cool!
Woah. Cool set up! And I really like that they’re including multiple FF33 adaptors for trying more than one shaft.
Would be fun to try. I feel like I need more loft though.
Very interesting but holy crap 6 degrees of loft ??
I’d love to see how this works out compared to what KB was using before with the advanced aero.
Very fun release and the two adapters is a nice touch
This is a really cool release. I get why they are offering adapters instead of shafts, however you would think the price might be a little different considering they don’t need to add in one of their premium stock options
As the forum test group guy in the LS I will pass on this one. Cranking mine down to 7 is was more difficult for me to control at full speed (around 118-120mph) than I am capable of handling. It’s really cool this option exist for those brave enough to do it
Really cool bringing this to the mainstream.
This looks like fun!!!! Although, it’s best I not use it ?
I kind of like this a lot. Its something different and something I’m sure people were asking for. Not for me of course but someone out there wants it bad.
Enjoy watching Berkshire hit golf balls it’s crazy to me as ball goes very far.
Seeing the 6° on this reminds me of hitting @Dougie LD driver back in my early THP days. Really cool release for Cobra!
Definitely an interesting release. 6* of loft? I can’t see many placing an order for that. Now to see how many THPers show up to the tee box with one?!?!?
This is really cool for Cobra to do. If I was still into doing long drive I would definitely be interested. Getting multiple Adapters is awesome also.
The extra adapter is a nice touch and it would be fun to hit on a sim to see what kind of ball speed I could get out of it but this isn’t something I could realistically put in play.
I want to hit it!!
Cool that Cobra is making some interesting options for people who might need something a bit different than normal
I’m no long driver of the ball however I would love to see what a 6° driver can do for my high ball flight. My current driver is cracked down to 7.5°.
I need someone to use this at the Morgan Cup.
It’s probably not for me but I’m as Templeton said, I wouldn’t mind hitting it, just for fun.
My current driver is set to 8 deg.
@jdtox will this be coming with you to GrayBull? ?

LOL no sir, I do not have the speed for this at my advanced age

Lol maybe José will bring one for us to try on the range
Finally the driver head I need for the Morgan Cup. I can dribble it through at least two tee boxes. ?
Obviously I am not the consumer for this but the option is amazing for long drivers trying to figure out ideal specs. The FF33 can get them dialed in so they can just swing away
Lets goooo, new MC driver here we go.

I bet I could still launch it. would be cool to try. I’ll ask Yags if he can bring one and we can all try it on the range.

Same here on the swing speed but we could get some good thp blooper footage. Sign me up. ?
6*
Whew.
Super cool, but that’s just a big fancy putter in my hands.
Dang, I only hit my 10.5 like 60ft high. I wouldn’t even get this off the ground!
Although I would be incapable of hitting it, the LS Long Drive and the two adapters are really cool. I can see this one filling a need that is typically difficult to fill. And, it just looks badass, IMO.
that looks sweet. Super deep looking face.

The face depth makes me a happy boy.
I’d like to see how high I can still hit a 6.0 head too hahahaha

It would be something to see, You should probably try one out, for science! :ROFLMAO:

Nah, I’m good. I already have decision dilemma’s with the ADAPT’s that are here as is. :ROFLMAO:
It’s interesting to me that adding depth to the face makes for a more aerodynamic driver.

Does seem a bit counterintuitive but people way smarter than us have designed it to be that way.

Oh yeah. My first thought was “that doesn’t seem to make sense.” My next thought was “but the guys at Cobra are much smarter and have leading in aero for a long time so it must be true”
Really cool to see them do stuff like this. Sounds pretty awesome for those that it would work for!
I could probably hit some looong bump and runs with this driver. :ROFLMAO:
Great for the big hitters to have this option – it’s a niche product, but should serve that niche well.

I’ve got a friend who I would love to see hit this.
Oh man I want this one 😉 or I should say the younger mind wants it and the body just laughs anymore.
However, $650 for club head only and two adapters…nope.
Still have that XR16 LD bad boy too. Man that was some time ago.
There’s definitely a target market for these. I just don’t know any of them!
