Callaway Chrome Tour June Major Golf Balls

Any fan of professional golf knows what June means, it means the most challenging Major Championship of them all, the U.S. Open. The third Major of 2025 is upon us, and this year it is headed to the 412, and legendary Oakmont Country Club. That also means a new limited release Chrome Tour from Callaway Golf.

Chrome Tour June Major

Officially named the “June Major” for this one, there has most certainly never been a more “Pittsburgh” design placed on a golf ball before. The Chrome Tour is playing host to a plethora of yellow and black, the first of many nods to the Steel City.

Once again, Truvis becomes the canvas for Callaway to have a little fun in paying homage to the home of one of the most legendary golf courses of them all, and its 122 year history. Though it may not be as artistic as precious releases, that wouldn’t fit a city like Pittsburgh well anyway. As such, nods to culture and architecture are the name of the game with two designs giving homage to the areas 446 bridges, one repping the PGH for Pittsburgh, and also for the first time ever, “Yinz” making its golf ball debut.

As with the other Major releases, Callaway is also replacing the traditional 1-4 numbering with the 412 Pittsburgh area code. As always, this is a nice touch which brings it all together, and adds continuity through the various releases.

As for the Chrome Tour itself, in case you are curious about just what type of golfer might benefit from it, you might want to jump into the deepest discussion on the internet about it via this thread on the THP community. Callaway continues to push the envelope as far as golf ball performance and quality is concerned, with the Chrome Tour leading the way.

The Details

The Chrome Tour June Major limited release officially drops today with the golf balls priced at $54.99/dozen. They will be available through retailers everywhere, as well as directly through Callaway Golf’s website, callawaygolf.com
