When you hear the words Area 51, what do you think of? Is it little green men with huge black eyes like me? Maybe a UFO or a scene from a movie? Either way you’re probably not wrong as countless movies have depicted such things for as long as I can remember.
Area 51, a top-secret U.S. Air Force facility located in the Nevada desert has long been at the center of mystery and intrigue. Although it has been repeatedly stated that Area 51’s primary purpose is military-related, the facility’s secrecy has made it a breeding ground for conspiracy theories, particularly regarding UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
Inspired by that very secrecy, and maybe a little splash of little pop culture thrown in the mix, Callaway golf is now bringing Area 51 to you. Featuring images you might expect from a release like this, the Callaway Golf Chrome Tour Area 51 balls are covered with flying saucers, little green aliens and even a little nod to the desert area in which it resides.

As for the Chrome Tour itself, it’s the same great golf ball that our forum members have been raving about for nearly 2 years. It provides exceptional ball speeds, a consistent ball flight, and tour level greenside control. If you for some reason you aren’t familiar with it, you can visit this thread on the THP forum and find out everything you need to know.
The Details
The Chrome Tour Area 51 golf balls are priced at $54.99/dozen and can be found today at retailers everywhere and on their website callawaygolf.com.

Unexpected design. Fun. Not to crazy
Oh i dig these. Not something i would have expected, but fun.
When I here Area 51 I think desert in the middle of no where. Because that’s where it is. Driven by it 100s of times..
FYI. There are no cactus near Area 51. lol.
These are pretty good though.
Cute addition to the lineup, I like the designs.
These are pretty well done!
Am I the only one who wishes they had gone with at least one ball in full alien green
It’s a fun design. I like seeing the different designs from Callaway.
These are super cool……………..right up there with the Shark balls
Both things I find very interesting

Would have been a different take for sure but they really don’t do that and especially not with Chrome Tour
I really like this one

Is there a picture of the box they come in? That is also super key LOL

Same. I was kind of surprised by how much I liked that design.

Yeah we’re not gonna get into that :ROFLMAO: 😳
These are fun. I like fun.
i really like the alien one. these are cool
These are awesome! Love aliens and all that junk
I wonder why on some of these releases they go all in on the box and packaging like the Retro Football release and on most others they just go with a sleeve covering a portion of the standard box?
Pretty cool balls! (but what is Captain doing up at 1:11AM?)?
Not for me. And not just the Area 51 version. I just don’t care for graphics all over a golf ball.
I have enough going on between the ears on every shot; I’d be on full overload playing these type of balls!
Then again, my equipment choices say I’m "Insufferable", so I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice. 😎

That my grandpa literally built that place. He was one of the Air Force engineers who designed and built the original runways.

Was coming here to say the same thing! The green alien is awesome
These are so much fun.
To answer the question in the article though, this is my first thought when i hear Area 51:

I do feel a little more comfortable smacking a ball with an alien face on it then one with my dogs face :ROFLMAO:
This is definitely not a theme I would have expected, but it’s a fun one for sure.
Love these, they make me chuckle
I need these and the dinosaurs. By far my favorites.
I approve this limited edition. The cactus one is a bit useless but the other 3 are nice
The cactus seems like an odd choice in that group but it is another fun release
I am having so much fun this year seeing what Callaway is going to bring out next.
I’ve still got my favorite, but man – these are a riot.
Those are cool!
Okay, these are really fun! Callaway is king with the special release golf balls.
I like these. The purple abductions are fun.
The alien is fantastic, the UFO/cow and sign are good and fit the theme. The cactus is sort of blah and doesn’t really fit themewise, but I’m not sure what could have been done in it’s place.

I wish I could get a dozen of these in TruTrack .
We seemingly have trouble finding and or catching aliens. Is that what you want in a golf ball?
They are pretty cool, but something about playing a ball that is all marked up is visually hard to get used to.

I also wouldn’t be able to play a ball with so many “random” patterns/visuals
