This episode of Full Swing will be fun
Hatton- Most calm reaction to the putt ??
He has a history of throwing and breaking clubs. Nonetheless, everything else you said is spot on. He’s become one of my favorites.
What a busy last few days with company and airport pickups and such. I didn’t get to watch much of the US Open yesterday, but watched most of it today along with prepping, cooking and entertaining my parents and sis-in-law. We were all watching on our back porch and what a putt!
JJ fought through the conditions and bad breaks and excelled on the final holes.
What an excellent finish to an otherwise blah tournament. That was awesome to watch!

I love it. Lol
Of course we had to leave just after the restart and I missed all the action, but catching up on it now and holy hell what a win.
Been busy all day and just got to watch Spaun’s putt. What a way to win the US Open!! After coming so close at the Player’s, this is a great way to win his first.

Hate Hattons reactions on the course, but very cool here:

Just saw it too. Damnit I can’t completely hate the guy then. Still needs to not such like a baby on course but damn ok Hatton.
I hope Sam Burns listens to the advice from Milli Vanilli: “Gotta blame it on something. Whatever you do don’t put the blame on you. Blame it on the rain… (yeah yeah)…You can blame it on the rain…”
Missed all of the last few holes .
In relation to JJ Spaun , he may not have the resume and kudos of others .. but , no matter what else he ever does . US Open champ 2025 will have his name for evermore on the silverware.
And that’s undeniable.
Congrats to him , sometimes patience and effort
( his career ) wins the prize .?

This guy has a future in commentary. Just drips of emotion!
Class in the end , A Scott , to hug and congratulate the winner …
Sometimes it’s not what you do when you win , it’s how you behave when you don’t .
Burns comments on the ruling were top drawer as well. I’m a fan for sure after that.
JJ’s full interview was great and if you missed, do yourself a favor and go back and watch it.
This part stuck out the most

Mcintyre as well. He was watching form the scoring tent and clapped when Spaun sunk the putt
No doubt Mcintyre knew it was over when Spaun didn’t do the 18th hole swipe the club across the ball drive. So many ‘one of us’ moments watching drives off that tee.
As a dad these moments are so cool to see

That is awesome!!! They were so excited!!!
Crazy stat that I saw on the golf Channel this morning. The longest putt J.J. had made all year until the 12th hole on Sunday was a 34 footer. It was so fun to watch that final 64 foot putt go in after the bad bounces he had off the rake and the flagstick earlier in the round.
Also, his 32 on the back nine was the lowest final nine for a US Open winner since Tiger in 2000. The definition of earning it.

He needed it, didn’t he go +5 on the opening 9? He set himself up well, had some rough spots and came back and closed it out.

Way looking forward to Spaun on the Ryder cup.

I may be wrong, but I don’t think Keegan is going to make his selections based on “the old boys network”, which we’ve seen in the past.

Spaun is going to auto qualify via points almost certainly now
